"Siren Song" Single Tour Announced
Hey folks,
I'm very pleased to announce that my debut single "Siren Song" will be released on February 14th 2025 and to celebrate I'm doing a wee run of shows in Scotland and England next year.
I've been a very busy bee of late getting all the groundwork sorted for this. I'll get into more detail about the song in a later blog post, as I think that deserves its own dedicated space. Here however I'll shine a light on booking this little tour.
When I first started gigging there was this misconception that in order to sort out shows we (the band) had to catch the eye of someone important - a promoter, booker, festivals etc - and they would bestow upon us the opportunity to play at any given venue. We also encountered the much maligned "pay to play" kind of scenarios whereby in order to get a gig we would be required to sell a certain amount of tickets or pay the difference. Poor practice which really takes advantage of young musicians who are just getting to grips with the industry.
Having experienced these kinds of setups a few times I quickly learned that its much better to bypass these characters completely. It seems fairly obvious now, that getting in touch with a venue directly, enquiring how much the space costs to hire out, and running the tickets etc. myself and reaping those benefits is definitely the better way to go.
And so with Logan's Close over the years we've always taken that approach and I've gone for a similar tactic here.
There's certainly a bit of admin involved and a lot of unanswered emails, but perseverance goes a long way and I eventually had a decent wee list of venues who were up for having me organise an event.
So here we are: the "Siren Song" Single Tour lives and breathes!
- 19.02.25 - SNEAKY PETE'S - EDINBURGH
- 21.02.25 - BLUE LAMP - ABERDEEN

I'm really looking forward to jumping in the car and clocking some miles up and down the country and performing tunes to everyone along the way. If you have any pals in any of the cities I'd be really grateful if you could point them towards the event - the more the merrier is the mantra.
See you somewhere along the way x
