"Siren Song" OUT NOW

"Siren Song" OUT NOW

Hey lovely people,

I'm very pleased to announce that "Siren Song" is now officially released everywhere!

I wrote this song way back during the lockdown in 2020. After having come up with the chord progression, alternating between minor verses and major choruses, the short story by Roald Dahl "The Landlady" sprung to my mind. It's a tale about how what at first seems alluring can in reality become quite sinister. It inspired the lyrics for the tune,  as I thought it would fit well with this dance between the tonalities in the tune. I made a wee demo in my flat and remember thinking it was pretty good. As months and years passed however, it sat waiting in the wings for the right moment to rear its head again.

Then sometime last year I decided I wanted to start doing my own solo music, and this song was at the forefront of that decision. I really wanted to record it properly and give it a proper lease of life.

Fast forward to today and here it is - my first solo single out in the world!

I really hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it. Massive thanks to Gavin Lamont who laid down the drum track. Thanks to Rod Jones at Post Electric Studio in Leith, Edinburgh, who helped me realise my vision and making it sound beefier than I could ever have conceieved, and thanks to Ed Woods Mastering for polishing it to perfection.

The official music video is now available to watch too - huge gratitude to Evelyn Hollow for lending her acting talents to it, as well as the Block 414 team for making my concept turn into a visual reality.

Next up: my "Siren Song" Single Tour - kicking off at Sneaky Pete's Edinburgh on Wednesday the 19th February! I can't wait to celebrate the release with you all in person. See you doon the front xxx
